Preparing a Child for Baptism

Dear Parent, 

Sometimes parents aren’t sure what to tell their child when he or she is thinking about getting baptized.  Parents realize, of course, that a child needs teaching, but they are often not sure what to say. These pages have been written with the hope that something here might be helpful.

We recommend that parents read this material to their child and discuss it with him or her.  It might be good, however, for a parent to look through this material first, before discussing it with the child.
